Rich’s journey into the world of compliance started whilst working for a leading insurance provider as a technical underwriter. He worked alongside many compliance professionals during his tenure and discovered a passion for compliance. After honing his insurance industry skills for 10 years, Rich’s next challenge was working as a compliance officer for a top 50 independent insurance broker where after just over a year he was promoted, spending 2 years in the role of compliance manager and becoming part of the senior management team. Rich’s strengths lie in the retail general insurance market having spent 3 years as a technical motor underwriter and nearly 4 years in systems testing working with several major software houses. Rich has successfully launched many insurance products and delivered training on areas such as underwriting, complaints and compliance to a wide array of professionals. He prides himself on providing not just a technical view of compliance but also enabling commercial awareness when trying to deliver regulatory requirements to any business model.
